Amanda Fairbanks, Education Editor, GOOD
Amanda M. Fairbanks is the Education Editor at GOOD, where she recently wrote about the chronic underemployment of recent college graduates. Prior to GOOD, she worked in the editorial department of The New York Times. Before that, she taught sixth grade in New York City as part of the Teach for America program. She is a graduate of Smith College and Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism.

Diana Rhoten, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Startl
As a researcher and strategist, Diana has dedicated her professional life to exploring these questions and testing out answers. Diana has been designing and evaluating educational policies and programs, organizations and technologies since she began her career as an educational analyst in Massachusetts. Over the last decade, Diana has been faculty at the Stanford School of Education, co-director of a nonprofit research institute dedicated to interdisciplinary collaboration, and consultant to a host of large educational institutions seeking to innovate. She has also been the founder of three different programs focused on the future of learning at both the Social Science Research Council and the National Science Foundation. Diana has published in numerous journals and most recently co-edited a volume on the future of higher education called Knowledge Matters. She earned a Ph.D. in Social Sciences and Educational Policy and an M.A. in Sociology from Stanford University, as well as an M.Ed. from Harvard University and an A.B. from Brown University.

Brian Fitzgerald, VP of Product Development, Knewton
Brian Fitzgerald serves as Vice President of Product Development at Knewton, Inc. Mr. Fitzgerald has 15 years of experience developing digital media consumer products and services. Most recently, he served as Vice President of AudibleKids & Education for Audible.com, an Amazon.com company, where he created AudibleKids.com, co-developed product lines with Pearson Education and Renaissance Learning, and led field studies on listening and learning in conjunction with Temple University. Prior to joining Audible, Mr. Fitzgerald spent 8 years at Yahoo in product management roles in both Silicon Valley and London, building and developing more than 50 products and services such as Yahoo Auctions, Yahoo Mail, and Yahoo Small Business. He has also worked for early stage startups in Boston and Silicon Valley, and served on the Board of Directors of the Just Think Foundation, a media literacy non-profit. Mr. Fitzgerald received an M.A. in Instructional Technology and Media from Columbia University's Teachers College, and his B.S. in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Babson College.

Michael Karnjanaprakorn, CEO/Co-founder, Skillshare
Michael is the CEO/Co-Founder of Skillshare, which is a platform to learn anything from anyone. Prior to Skillshare, he led the product team at Hot Potato, which was acquired by Facebook. And before that, he developed products and services at Behance. As a philathropist, Michael is the Co-Founder of All Day Buffet and The Feast, which was listed as one of "25 Ways to get Smarter in 2010" by The Daily Beast. In his spare time, Michael is an avid poker player, NYC foodie, HBO fanatic, and sometimes foursquare mayor of Tacombi. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and VCU Brandcenter.
